Comfortable Clean Rooms. Comfy Bed, nice staff (David the over night front desk guy is a nice man) Beautiful swimming pool. My mom aunti and I loved it. We will like to stay here again if we come back to Stoney Creek.

Hamilton is a surprising city with a real mix of high culture (the art museum) and the gritty artifacts of its industrial past. Old Hamilton has a lot to do, see, eat, and drink, all walkable and with easy access to the GO Train. The Mountain (the Niagara Escarpment) is harder to access except by car, full of unhighlighted history and glimpses of a grand vista over Lake Ontario. The Bruce Trail and Dundas Valley Trails are accessible but you have to pay $11 to park. Newer homes and retail strip malls make this area seem like a suburb of Old Hamilton, with the escarpment as the natural barrier. As with all suburban areas, we got the impression that tourists were not welcome “Nothing to see here!” , a curious undervaluing of a novel bit of Ontario.

Hamilton is the best location to be able to access many attractions without paying very high prices and having large crowds when the day ends. Niagara Falls is just 30 minutes away and Toronto is just less than an hour. There is plenty of shopping and good restaurants. I have stayed in both Toronto and Niagara and found them to be very expensive for everything you do. It was far nicer to be a reasonable distance from both and be comfortable at a place between.

The global impression of Hamilton tends to be negative - and it is not deserved. We found the architecture to be wonderful, the people to be friendly and dining to be varied and generally very good (loved The Mule). We got lost walking one day and a gentleman actually drove us back downtown - over the top hospitality! The weather was very mild and the gardens were still in bloom - but we'd love to see more of it in the summer. Some of the key attractions were just not open, such as the air museum, or closed several days of the week, which was disappointing.

I was disappointed that most bars/restaurants were closed Sunday night. It was not easy to find something open where our group of friends could celebrate following a Grey Cup win. A BIG shoutout to The Cat ‘N’ Fiddle for being open that night. The city of Hamilton could do some things to beautify their city. I was only there for the Grey Cup but am definitely not drawn to go back for any other reasons.

Location was great and was reasonably priced.
Location was great and was reasonably priced.
Parking in area is not good. 22 steps and no railings are not acceptable. "Ola" bakery next door was fantastic, owners was 1 in a million, so warm and outgoing. Don't find em like her and hubby very often. Even gave us freebees for the road when leaving. WOW!

Much of the city to the east of downtown had a run down and dilapidated feel about it. A number of restaurants seem closed or shut down and the number of places for drug rehabilitation and services for people with problems did not create the best impression. On top of the escarpment was a different world.
The main reasons for our visit, The Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum and HMCS Haida were very worthwhile and the waterfront parks were very pleasant.
We intentionally booked this hotel the night before our trip to the Niagara Falls. We were surprised by this hotel as it is great quality, nice rooms and a steakhouse next to it. Price was very good too! It is obviously located next to the highway and there is nothing around except for a big Walmart, a Five Guys Burger shop and some others, but for the price and for what we expected, this was very good!
The location was good! If you are looking for something downtown and summer street stuff it is a great location. The water pressure for the shower was amazing!! It was also great to be able to cook something (pots & utensils, dishes & drying rack were supplied) and have full size working appliances available. (not all hotels have a working fridge) The location is secure!
The property was perfect. Better than hotels at higher classes as my room (single king bed) was quite big, big TV, an armchair with a small table and a desk. Everything that any traveller needs.
Especially I liked John’s (front desk) approach and friendliness to clients.
I will definitely will book my room from this hotel for my next stays in sha Allah.
The beds were so comfortable. I often have difficulty sleeping, but not here. The suite was huge - one could easily stay for a lengthy period of time comfortably. Even though they were short-staffed, the service at the hotel when we reached was terrific. The included breakfast was acceptable, although limited for those with gluten sensitivities.
Super atmospheric and beautiful place! We are first time in Canada, and this place is real Canadian home, it like being in a family as guest. Everything is clean, and up to your disposal. Bus stop is near, very close to the downtown, street with restaurants is a few blocks away. Owners are super sweet and helpful!
This 3-night stay was for my mom and I. We were super impressed by the price and the fact that we each had separate rooms - something you aren’t always accommodated with in regular hotels. The location was perfect, as we were in town to visit family on the mountain for the long weekend.
The staff went out of their way (Ali) to extend a kind gesture. Seeing that I was an artist, coming back to the hotel after my show…A treat of water and chocolate made me so happy. It was unexpected but brought me to tears. Happy tears. Such a kind act. :)
The room was clean and comfortable. The shower stall is great because you can just step in . Plenty of towels and small shampoo/conditioner samples. The hotel is centrally located near the 403 and on a direct path to downtown Hamilton.
The hotel rooms were extremely clean and comfortable! The drive there was spectacular and there are restaurants and parks nearby. Staff were very kind and respectful and were always available if we needed anything or had any questions.
Clean, spacious, well laid out with all the appliances that you might need. Easy to find and right in downtown. Restaurants and grocery store nearby. Also close to Theatre Aquarius. Public transit frequent and near the door.
nice big loft with 2 bedrooms, kitchen and bathroom. Very clean. Interesting hotel design in the former industrial building. Price offer: Very good. Central location and quite quiet for Hamilton.
Breakfast was not included in my package but front office manager Neema Patel kindly offered us two days complimentary breakfast it was nice hotel staff was friendly it was comfortable stay
Nicely renovated property in a good location in downtown Hamilton. Lots of restaurants and shopping nearby. Well-equipped kitchen. Comfortable bed. Washer/dryer is very convenient.
the pool is on the smaller size but the slide was why went to the hotel. Rooms are clean and a great size. Family of 5 with 3 teens. Breakfast was very tasty and fresh.
