Dhiguveli Breeze, hotel in Dhigurah

Set 100 metres from Dhigurah North West Beach, Dhiguveli Breeze offers 3-star accommodation in Dhigurah and has a garden, a shared lounge and a restaurant.

The hotel staff is very nice, most especially the restaurant manager. Room was good, clean and with all comodities. The hotel restaurant was very good, better than the local restaurants we tried, and with reasonable prices. The breakfast is also very good, with plenty of options, and they made special glúten and lactose free pancakes and eggs for me, which was very attentive. The location is good, not too far from bikini beach. It is a quite confortable hotel and I will surely chose it again in possible future visits to Dhigurah.

Dhiguveli Maldives, hotel in Dhigurah

Facing the seafront, Dhiguveli Maldives offers 3-star accommodation in Dhigurah and has a private beach area, garden and terrace.

What a fabulous Island and a great hotel - there are more expensive hotels but this was excellent value for money. Everything we needed. Great staff from reception to restaurant - friendly, accommodating and helpful. Very comfortable room (we had just a standard room) Breakfast was buffet and the usual holiday omlettes - very nice, lunch and dinners very good Our neice was in the sister hotel at Dhiguveli Breeze and we sometimes met her there for breakfast or dinner - both equally great hotels A little on the island - one third local with shops and cafes, one third hotels - lots of food choice Dhiguveli Maldives and Breeze, Ufa was fab, and pizza at Bliss :) Final third was rainforest down to the famous sandbar - a long 45-60 minute walk (Beware coming back after sunset - very long and dark book a taxi) a great bike ride (cost £8 per day per bike) worth a visit

What a fabulous Island - easy to stay in a wide choice of hotels. Choose B&B as plenty of places to eat. For example Dhiguveli Maldives and Dhiguveli Breeze, and Ufa were fab - most mains 8-12$, and pizza at Bliss (but book early) we even ate at the Beach Restaurant near the habour - great local food and Mosquitos haha :) Not good food or service TME retreat restuarant or Bonthi - all miserable and food average The Thai near the harbour good food and service but closer to $15-20 per dish A little on the island - one third local with shops and cafes, one third hotels. Final third was rainforest down to the famous sandbar - a long 45-60 minute walk along the beach IF the tide is right. Beware coming back after sunset - its a very very long and dark - you can book a taxi to meet you at the spit end. Its a great bike ride costing £8 per day per bike worth a visit. Bikini Beach is the place to enjoy the sun and sand. As a Muslim Island there is a dress code of shorts to the knees and sleeved teeshirts as a minimum, until you are in Bikini beach. Also the sand bar is a locals beach and no bikinis. Such a beautiful Island - a totally different feel from a resort, more relaxed, almost like a back packer island but with resort level comfort and great local food :)

You have to arrive at Male airport before 2PM to catch the speedboat or ferry transfers. You do not want to miss a day to enjoy your stay on this beautiful and peaceful island. The water is crystal clear and the sand was super pure. The sand bank was the best part of the island where you can have an amazing experience and enjoy probably one of the best and cleanest beach in the world! It is picture perfect and paradise like atmosphere. You can virtually enjoy a private beach all by yourself and your family!

Note about booking scuba and snorkling - you have to go through your hotel. Dive shops and companies running excursions are able to price gouge because even though there might seem to be independent dive shops on the island, they actually all have an agreement that they only work with guests from specific hotels. There's no competitive pricing here. If you want to do multiple dives at a better price I would recommend going to maafusa.

The Island is long and narrow.

The Island is long and narrow. One end is the inhabited half, with a school, shops, football and volleyball pitches and a few restaurants and guesthouses, alongside the resident's homes. It takes about 15 minutes to walk from one end of this area to the other. The other end of the island is wooded and then it ends with an incredible spit out into the sea - so you can sit on the sand and have waves lapping at you from both sides - just beautiful. The island is really beautiful and really laid back. You won't come here for the nightlife (no alcohol!) but the diving is some of the best I've ever done.

    Safe place with good people.

Safe place with good people. You can smoke shisha in White Sands Hotel. Fantastic beach. No sunbeds and alcohol there. There is floating bar not far from bikini beach, if you can't live without alco. Don't forget it's not a resort.

Loved this island for its tranquility and friendliness.

Loved this island for its tranquility and friendliness. It was great for a relaxing vacation. The only downside was that several local restaurants that we wanted to try weren't open, but we were there during Covid and Ramadan so that probably affected things a bit.
